Leaning into those turns

We’re all into cycling at MATTER and are excited about Qi Gym’s RealRyder program. Qi, voted the best Health Club of 2009 by 5280 just opened up their new Indoor Cycling Studio with stationery bikes that allow you to lean and steer like bikes that are actually on the road. We have had the good fortune to design the Qi Ryder brand, everything from their logo, window decals, brochures, water bottles, and cycling shirts. Not only will you look good from their program, but you will look good in their gear.

Check out their site and sign up for a free trial class at: www.QiRyders.com.

A call to action

We first heard about Waiting for Superman when we recently became connected with the national non-profit, Education Reform Now; they have been helping to promote the new film. Filmmaker Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) focuses on the state of public education in this country. He follows a handful of kids and shows how the country’s education system is failing so many, but in doing so he also bumps into some truly innovative approaches that seem to be worth making note of. The movie opens on September 24th in select theaters around the country.

Commit to see the film at: WaitingforSuperman.com and receive a $5 gift code to give to a classroom project of choice onDonorsChoose.org.

Who's laughing now?

Who doesn’t need a good laugh these days? If you haven’t been to an Ignite Denver or Boulder, you need to check one out. These events have a moto of ‘to enlighten us, but make it quick’. Each presenter has the opportunity to present 20 slides that advance every 15 seconds with a caveat that the talks should show some humor.

Denver's Creative Future

While working on creating MATTER, it only seems fitting that Rick would be asked to set his sites a little broader. On behalf of Mayor John Hickenlooper and the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, Rick has been formally invited to sit on the Create Denver Advisory Committee (CDAC). Create Denver is a Program which is housed under Denver’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Create Denver seeks to strengthen the overall health and vitality of Denver by supporting the growth and development of the creative sector, including creative enterprises such as film, music, art galleries, art districts, fashion, graphic design, and individual artists.

Stay tuned to learn about what ‘the force’ is up to on Create Denver's website.
